Why does having clinically trained support workers matter?
Ensuring that your care team is trained to deliver care that meets high standards ensures reduced hospitalisations and incidents, safer and more consistent complex care delivery, and improved quality of life for you and your loved ones.
Registered Nurse-led upskilling
Our in-house clinical oversight program, led by our registered nursing team, ensures staff are continuously supervised, upskilled, and supported to deliver care that meets our own high standard.
All support workers are upskilled by our in-house Registered Nurses across 13 clinical competencies giving you care that goes beyond the basics, and includes:
- Autism – person-centred support strategies that promote communication, routine, and emotional regulation.
- Complex bowel care – safe, dignified bowel care procedures aligned with clinical protocols and hygiene standards.
- Catheter (SPC and IDC) – safe management of suprapubic and indwelling catheters, with monitoring and infection control practices.
- Dementia support – equips staff to respond to cognitive decline and behavioural changes using person-centred care approaches.
- Diabetes management – monitoring, medication support, and maintaining stable daily routines for participants with diabetes.
- Dysphagia – safe swallowing practices, texture-modified diets, and adherence to clinical dietary guidelines.
- Epilepsy and Midazolam – seizure recognition, response protocols, and the administration of emergency medication such as Midazolam.
- Enteral feeding (PEG) management – safe delivery of nutrition via PEG feeding, including monitoring and equipment care.
- Manual handling – safe transfer techniques and injury prevention for both participants and staff.
- Medication management – safe administration, documentation, and adherence to medication protocols.
- Palliative care – equips staff to provide compassionate, respectful support during end-of-life care.
- Ventilation support – includes the safe use of respiratory equipment and responding to changes in breathing or condition.
- Wound care – basic wound management, infection prevention, and supporting healing in line with clinical guidance.
