Although the Australian government subsidises Respite care, this is not done through the Medicare system. The discounted rates offered by service providers are afforded by government subsidies. As a registered NDIS provider, True Ability can offer affordable Respite care services with assistance from government funding.

If you care for someone with a disability under the age of 65 their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding may cover Respite Care services. Discuss this with your Plan manager or if you are self-managed, call the NDIS helpline 1800 800 110 to see if they are eligible for these services.
True Ability is a registered NDIS provider and we also have a team of clinical nurses to assist with supporting any person in care with their clinical needs while in Respite care.
